Grandpa
written by xfadingmemoriesx03:30 AM 3/12/05I still remember when I was a little girl,
you used to carry me in your arms.
And when I cried you'd pat me gently,
and make me pretty little charms.
I also remember, you could draw very well,
and I could spend the whole day,
admiring your paintings and art.
But you left before I had a chance to say:
I love you grandpa,
I wish you were still here.
I wish I spent more time with you,
before you went up above the atmosphere.
I still remember it clearly,
when I was ten.
You would walk miles everyday, without fail,
to come and give me tuition.
I always enjoyed your lessons,
you made it so fun to learn.
English, math, science and all,
how I wish you could return.
Cause you left without letting me,
kiss you on the hand.
And say my last goodbye,
and clear up misunderstands.
I never expected you to leave so soon,
before I could pray for you.
It came as a shock,
and I don't know what to do.
Just three weeks ago,
you were still fine.
Laughing away like any other person,
but I guess Heaven was blind.
You always took me out to eat,
I always loved where you brought me.
I can still recall,
how happy you used to be.
But now all these are just memories,
never to come back.
I hope you'll still come into my dreams,
at least then I wouldn't miss you so bad.
Dear grandpa, I promise you,
I will go on like you asked me to.
I won't dwell on unhappyness nor sadness,
but I won't forget what we've been through. |
