If I Could

Of wondrous days gone by
I'd bring it down for you to hold
When you just want to cry.
If I could reach up into the sky
I'd bring down a silver star
To remind you of ambitious goals
And who you really are.
If I could catch a faerie folk
I'd ask her to come play
And if one day you felt really bad
She'd take your tears away.
But I don't know how to do
Impossible things like that.
So instead I'll just be here for you
To hold you when you want to cry
And tell you who you really are
And wipe your tears away.
After all, that's what friends are for. |
