They took me away

At these four walls you call home
You might find out just what happens
When it’s gone and your alone
It all started so quickly
On that fine summer day
When depression came
And took happiness away
I couldn’t look at myself
It was all too much to bear
I just wish people knew better
Than to just stop and stare
It got more confusing and sad
I couldn’t believe it was true
Until Depression came along
And took me away too
And after all these years
I still just can’t let go
But these words are now my healing
My pain will no longer show |
