Dear Crush

My very first crush
The boy from school
I liked you since day one
I thought you were really cool
You always smiled at me
When we saw each other in the hall
You laughed and you held my hand
You helped take down my wall
You said you'd never leave me
You said, "No matter what"
And you were there to lecture me
On whenever I wanted to cut
You made me believe
That I no longer needed a knife
I no longer needed to know I bled
Just so I could feel alive
And now you've gone away
And I'm not quite sure why
You let her take you away from me
But she hardly had to try
She was supposed to be my friend
You were supposed to love me
But now I realize you were just using me
I guess it's true; loving eyes can never see
Dear Crush,
I'm sorry I'm not as smart as her
I'm sorry I'm not 'hot stuff'
I'm sorry I let you make me cry
I guess I'm sorry that I'm not good enough |
