Why?

Why do we do this to each other?
Why do we argue when
We have so much love for one another?
Why do we press each other's buttons?
Why do we question each other 'why'?
Why do I start so many pointless fights
When I just know you're right and I'll cry?
Why do you love everything about me?
Even though I'm so imperfect
Why are you so understanding and patient
When I show so much disrespect?
Why do you put up with me and how?
You always show so much affection
Why do you always forgive me?
You're like the definition of perfection
Why can't I measure up to you
And all the love you've given?
I guess all I can do is thank you
For never leaving me unforgiven. |
