» Poem: He Is Called Death
He Is Called Death
written by YouSmileAs_I_Die

The Prodigal Son returns,

Marked by His improvident audacity

Inside of His dark eyes, a morbid fire burns

A flash of cold steel, a sword moved with silent fluididty

The horse He sits upon rears, pawing the air and screaming with delight

His laugh matches that of His horse, harsh and shrill

He is prideful and stares down His bloody sword,

Daring anyone to callenge His callous might

None will go against Him so He cuts them down and takes His fill

Of blood, of carnage, and of blackened flesh

Finally His dark shadow passes, but it still weighs heavily on many minds

Who is this man whom everyone fears? Alas, He is called Death...
