illusions

thoughts in my mind
merely imaginary
yet simply divine
thats all they are
a mirage
in which my mind
tortures me with
thinking i could be happy
i should know better than this
but when i dream
it isn't safe
i keep telling myself
all kinds of lies
"oh, you'll be just fine"
i wish i knew better
than to believe
myself sometimes |
