A Daughter's Cry
written by whatShouldUsBe02:27 AM 3/15/05Remembering the days of winter's blood
As it fell from the tears of the young and old
Memories create again the red flood
Where dreams can't escape the bitter cold
A letter of hopes, of a place she longs
Where grace may fill her barren soul
Though she sings an unheard song
Her heart longs to be forever whole
For each day her weary spirit breaks
Shattered along side the cracking walls
As she weeps aloud, her body aches
No-one comforts her fainting calls
She falls from agony, shadows all around
Her only thoughts, are those of strife
And frets of deaths, soak soiled ground
As teardrops drain her once sane life
Is this the world I was born into...
Why do they have hatred, with such dark souls?
Please have mercy, Lord help me through
My body bruises as the days unfold
I send this prayer, in hopes you'll hear
For your soul has suffered as mine
Though you've never sinned, a cross you still bear
Please Lord, I beg of you, my sweet love divine
You know my heart, you've see this world's sin
Give me a dream, beyond earthly skies
Rescue me Lord, for you know where I've been
I pray this deep prayer, with tears in my eyes
Bind the evil, that keeps us in chains
Lord, I leave my life in your hands
Take me Father, where your love remains
So I can embrace the strength to withstand
Thank you Lord,
This is the prayer that I send
Bless me Father,
Amen and Amen |
