Addiction

I didn’t want to feel that pain
I wanted to let go
It was driving me insane
But you held my hand
and together we looked
past the scars
in my heart
and on my arms
Don’t let go
no matter what happens
that’s what you’d say to me
But I did let go
and now you see
what this god damn addiction
has done to me
there’s blood on the floor
and its all around
secretly begging for more
when no ones around
I was tired of hurting
I didn’t want to feel that pain
so I finally let go
for I had gone insane |
