I'm Not Invincible
written by YouSmileAs_I_Die04:57 AM 3/15/05"Are you like me?" The shy girl is dying to ask
That question as burns her mind like fire
She gets no answer, just looks that make her feel like she is made of glass
And always she is tormented by liar after liar
They cannot understand how she can take that blade and sink it into her arm
They do not see how she can love another girl
All they see is the scars from intentional harm
And the sin of a thousand lives unfurled
In her dark eyes that rage with so many things day after day
"Can you take this pain away?" Her lips are bloody from holding back the screams
"Please, someone just love me." But those are words that she never dares to say
For no one will understand her, they will not know what she means
She regrets making people fear her because now they think she is invincible
To pain, to sadness, and every little thing the world throws at her |
