» Poem: We Can Never Forget
We Can Never Forget
written by YouSmileAs_I_Die

Rain falls like silent tears

Sent to wash away all of our regrets

But there is not enough to wash away the pain of a thousand years

It's still there in the form of scars so we can never forget

Everything that we don't want to remember

Things like the people we've hurt, all that we've done

And the lies we've told just stretch on into forever

Along with all the problems we can never seem to out run

They just catch up with us no matter where we try hide

Or all that we do to try and make them go away

They'll keep coming back, eating us up from the inside

Night after night, and day after day

They kill us so slowly

And it's the best thing that I've ever felt
