» Poem: Head in the clouds
Head in the clouds
written by mattwhatever

I never thought I’d tier and grow old
I never thought every thing I valued would be sold
I once was a young man, head buried in the sand
Sometimes I wonder am I a stranger to this land
Have you ever seen a man that everybody ignored?
Have you ever seen a young girl that everyone adored?
You see when I take my head out of the clouds
And I sit and reflect, looking at the crowds
I realise it’s a big wide world out there
It’s not always nice and it’s rarely fair
But I’m still young
My explorations only just begun
I’ve still got a lot to see
And it’s time to find out what’s truly inside me!
