Which Rose Will You Be? (comments)

lies a rose who wishes to be free
it waits day by day to be given a home
ever since they were little and now that they are grown
every day the tree tries to give this rose encouragement
that they will one day find their settlement
but the rose has lost all faith
in ever finding its place
as time goes on, and the rose becomes more saddened
and as time went on the tree realized what happened
instead of being happy for who they were
the rose chose to not have friends, and to be alone and insecure
the tree was saddened by the sight
of seeing the rose weep its petals away,day and night
the rose soon shirveled up and broke from its stem
and it was blown away with the wind
down the river, beneath a second tree
was a rose who led its life happily
true this rose to wanted a home
but it realized it was not alone
it had the tree and the sunlight
it had the moon and the stars during the night
it had realized no one would take it home, and yes it did hurt
but it realized there was more to life than being sad on this earth
so on the day it finally passed on
the tree and everyone else was not sad to see it gone
the rose had lived its life to the fullest they knew
so it was not their sadness when the rose left, but happiness that grew
so which rose will you be?
the rose who led its life in sadness knowing it would never be free?
or the one who accepted the fact and led its life happily? |

| That was an awesome poem. I find myself as a middle ground of the 2 roses. I feel alone, but I know I'm not. |
