Insanity is Relative
written by Drusilla11:52 PM 3/15/05Light shines into the darkness dancing on my skin
Singing a song to me that others cannot hear
Words echo upon the lips of those who cannot believe
They try to rationalize what I cannot explain
Assuming what they cannot see is not real
Oh! But it is and that’s what makes it oh so sweet
This is what makes them fear it the most
Often I wonder what they would do if they knew
Oh how sweet their fear would taste then
If they knew it wasn’t I who was crazy
Those who live in allusion cannot believe they are insane
All who deny are long dead
As I look upon the sanitarium, a smile plays upon my lips
For you see, those who live in the “real world” are truly insane
As I write off another prescription, I laugh at them for laughing at me. |
