You dont Own me
written by crazysinglechick04:02 AM 3/16/05you dont own me,
im not a house that you can buy.
you dont own me,
im not a car that you trade in for a younger model.
you wont be there when i get old,
you wont be there when im cold.
you dont care that i love you,
you dont care that i would give up everything for you.
there are so many things wrong,
in the long run.
so many thing i cant change,
but i know that if i could,
i wouldnt change this.
you've given me so many things,
a house, a car, a life.
but in the end there is one thing,
you can never give me.
so in the end, i guess you do own me.
i am a house you can buy, or at least buy for.
i guess you do own me,
i am like a car,
that you trade when you get tired of this version,
for a younger model.
she wont know who you are,
of that you can be sure.
shell only know that for a while,
there was something between us.
something that will forever be with me,
through her. |
