» Poem: Noone
Noone

Noone there
noone cares.

noone touches those behind
noone cares for those inside
noone believes in what they can see.
noone trusts those around me.

i didnt touch those behind
i didnt care for those inside
i didnt believe in what i couldnt see
i didnt trust those around me.

but that all changed that day,
when they made the choice.
the choice to leave,
to be just one more in a world
full of cold, uncaring people.

they took the choice,
from you, from me.
and thrust us into something
even worse than where we were before.

they might've had the best in mind,
they might not have cared,
but we will never know
just what they felt before and as they made the choice.

the choice that would forever change our lives.
we were left in the aftermath of a terrible storm,
a storm over which we had no control.

but they made the choice, not us.
not you not me, but them. they decided our fate,
and the fate surrouding us. if not the fate,
at least a major part of the trip to the outcome.

can you forgive them?
im not sure i can.
