away [version 1]

As I watched my world around me
Crumble and fall.
I did not shed a tear,
As all that I had once loved,
Vanished before my eyes.
I did not yell in anger,
As all that I knew
Was taken away from me.
I did not even whine,
When I was alone
With nothing but air to befriend.
I only called your name
A single time,
And you looked back to wave goodbye. |
