--My Last Smile--
written by DaMaGeD10:03 PM 3/17/05Sitting on this deserted beach,
I feel the sand between my toes,
There is nothing left to fear,
I am here, and nobody knows.
As the sun sets slowly before me
The ocean whispers it's lullaby,
I close my eyes and listen,
As the waves tell me not to cry.
I thank them with all my heart,
For comforting me many years,
But this time they cant save me,
Or wash away these tears,
The dying rays of the sun,
Reach out and touch my hand,
It's a warmth i have never felt,
Drawing me across the sand.
I know the time has come,
I am no longer afraid,
As i walk deep into the the water,
I save my last smile for the waves. |
