--Drifting Alone--

Did you ever wonder about your soul
Wonder if you have one or if it is old?
Did you ever read in one of those books
That attraction is not always about looks?
How two people can be drawn together
It's uncontrollable, just like the weather,
Or that someone in pain and feeling alone
Can tell who feels the same; they just know,
The two souls join together their hands,
They cling to eachother, they both understand
That the other one feels just as bad as they do,
But together they can easily make it through,
Sometimes i wonder if that's you and me,
Do i know how you feel? Is it true what i see?
But then i think i must have imagined it all,
That i'm looking for someone to break my fall,
And i feel so bad for wanting you to feel
All of these things that aren't even real,
Maybe i am reaching out my hand
When there's no-one there to understand,
No-one to cling to cos nobody knows,
So this lost soul just drifts on, alone.
