Rainy Day

I seek to find the sun
Wanting to forget the past's pain
And wanting to have some outdoor fun
I look for blue, but all I see is gray
Looking out the window, being bored
Wondering why the sun must hide away
And while being bored, I play with the phone cord
I lay on my bed
Staring at the rainy sky
Playing with the hair on my head
Feeling the time pass slowly by
I turn the television on
And I sit in a chair
The next thing I know the power is gone
And I say to myself "This isn't fair"
I lay on my bed once more
And begin to close my eyes
Hoping that the rain doesn't go to day four
And hearing the buzzing of a fly
Hours later, I awake from a sleep
And I see the reays of the sun
Hearing the birds making a peep
I run outside, yelling "Time for some fun!" |

I was going home from Spring Break vacation, and it was raining, so I just decided to write this poem
