» Poem: Bleeding
Bleeding
written by Scythe42
03:41 AM 3/18/05
The crimson river flows through your veins,
It washes away every existence of life in its path,
This red liquid drips onto your skin,
You hear it drop onto the floor,
The carpet absorbs the maroon stain,
The wounds open fuller,
The knife digs into your muscles,
And reaches to your bone,
It scrapes out what is left of the life in your veins,
And tears the veins open,
This alive river flows into your open mouth,
The taste of blood and human flesh on your tongue,
It bleeds down your throat,
Alive and well,
The blood once again flows through your broken veins,
Over and over again,
Immortal you shall be,
But at a cost of your own sacrifice,
Of your own freedom,
Of your own grief.
