» Poem: Forgotten Poetry
Forgotten Poetry
written by Scythe42

It seems like everyone has forgetten about me,
Me and my forgotten poetry,
I have no vocal chords,
They got torn out of my throat by fear,
Fear of regretting the words i was going to say,
It seems like this room is stopped in the midst of time,
so quiet and peaceful,
I want to stay here forever,
In this room of mine,
I can see the people outside my window,
Moving so fast,in such haste to end the day,
But i want to just keep in this room and stay,
Stopped in the midst of time,
The door is open,
People are waiting for me to step out of these lines,
Out of my comfort zone,
And go back into the midst of time,
But these walls break me free,
They break me free from my heart of stone,
They break me free from my soul of misery,
In this room I shall stay,
Until someone walks into this open window,
And wants me to come with them,
Back to reality,
It seems like everyone has forgotten about me,
They won't even read this forgotten poetry,
They won't even listen to my lost thoughts,
My wandering words,
But these words,this poetry,
It means a lot to me,
And no one seems to notice that,
this poetry is all i have left of my heart,
So please don't tear it apart.
