» Poem: The Blade
The Blade
written by ieatsmellysocks

I told you im not cutting,
But then i stained your blade.
Im sorry, but i couldnt help it.
With one cut it starts to fade.

I drag the blade across my skin.
Snap back into hopeless reality.
I hide the blade,pull on a sweater
And desperately wish that you dont see.

I told you i could control it,
But i just dont have the courage.
I give in,i never win.
I give in to the urge.

I told my counsellor im still cutting,
And made her swear never to tell.
If just one word escaped her lips,
You'd make my life more of a living hell.

I burn myself for pleasure.
I cut and bruise myself to escape.
As i lay down,my arms aching,
I have awful dreams of rape.

At school i dont bother with a sweater.
Im half hoping someone might see,
And realize im being abused,
Maybe then they might help me.

But they look at my arms,
And pretend the scars and bruises arent there.
I write about abuse during school,
And they see but never care.

I cant believe i lied to you,
But i just couldnt quit.
Im dying here,lonely and unloved
And yet no one gives a shit.

Someday you'll look for your blade,
The blade i had to stain.
Someday your going to find out,
And maybe finally see my pain.

I loved your poem. I thought it was realy good and unlike some other poems in here actualy rhymed. Oh and just remember that no matter what someone does care. they just can`t help but just sit there and watch.
