coward

To end the senselessness
I call my life
I tried to bleed the pain away
I wanted it to run down my skin
And wash away my sin
I pressed the blade to my vein
And closed my eyes, kept repeating
"It's only a little cut, a little pain."
Breathed in, then out
I pressed harder, harder, harder
Bit my tongue so as not to shout
I could feel the metal bite into my skin
A flash of pain
"It's only a little cut, a little pain."
I tried to bleed it all away
And all I got was a little pain |
