» Poem: Change
Change
written by twistedmind33

You used to see a girl
So carefree and lively
With her heart on her sleeve
Always there to listen
Then one day she wasn’t there
And you didn’t even notice
That was me
And this is why
That day I changed
Skimpy skirts and low cut shirts
To baggy jeans and black t’s
You asked why my nails were black
And I said they matched my soul
I’m tired of being relied on
The perfect image to the perfect lie
I want to be myself
I want someone to rely on
But for now, I’m just stuck here
Being the dramatic fool
Trying to get your attention
