Lifeless
written by YouSmileAs_I_Die09:42 PM 3/19/05A sick and twisted teen driven by blood-lust
With all memories of brighter days scattered to dust
A tormented soul screaming out to you
With your words of criticizm shining right on through
An anguished cry released to the unlistening light
WIth a heart full of pain from a life that "isn't right"
A million troubles carved into one arm
With deluded thoughts of not wanting to cause others harm
A thousand tears banished from my eyes
With every hope and dream shielded my so many lies
A mind full of defiance and a longing to never do what is told
With a scowl frozen on my lips so lifeless and cold |

this is one of the few poems i've written that has a sort of structure to it. basically it alternates between 'with' and 'to.' nothin' special really...but a major accomplishment for me. ;-) [ View YouSmileAs_I_Die's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 142 times
