Sanitarium
written by Psycho_Penguin07:04 AM 7/26/04Endless screaming,
Disjointed voices,
An endless cycle...
Of past choices.
Morbid visions...
Written by their calls,
Visions now staining...
The grime-covered walls.
Darkened shadows...
In the murky haze...
Endless hallways,
Caught in the maze...
Look at the damned...
Crouched in their cells...
Each now living...
Their personal Hells...
Within these walls,
Tears ever-flowing...
All are insane...
Without ever knowing.
Do you know what is like?
Chained in your mind,
Searching for answers,
You never can find...
All of the people,
Retain some sight,
So both healer and damned,
Are clothed in white...
Filling both roles,
You can be the hope,
Giving the answers...
So they can now cope...
But you can hide away...
Lost in your misery...
The flame now dead...
You can no longer see...
So you see...
It works both ways...
Healer and damned...
Changes with days...
Who are you?
There in the light,
For you also,
Are wearing white.... |

If you can, you should always try to help others through their problems. Every problem is easier on the outside. So when you are down and caught in a vicious cycle... someone will be there to help you. [ View Psycho_Penguin's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 95 times
