Fade

Judging me with every step that I take
It feels like they are looking straight through me
I feel like I am made of glass,
Ready to break at any given moment
I can't think, I can't breathe
A thousand voices scream to me
I close my eyes
Begging them to silence and to give me rest from
Their insistent clamour
Why is this happening?
I can give myself no answer
But the voices are back
This time ten-fold
Screaming and preaching of the end
I fall to my knees in this hallway of broken bottles
And broken dreams
Blood streams from the wounds that I have created
In a failed attempt to bleed the voices out
But I can hear them laughing still
As the rest of the world fades to black... |
