» Poem: "Just a Friend"
"Just a Friend"
written by TAINTEDSOULisBACK

Tears roll down my cheeks in vain,
and hatred fills my heart,
my life is so fucked up right now,
I don't know where to start.
I broke up with this guy,
who was 2,000 miles away,
but we weren't too attached,
so it didn't matter much anyway.
Then there's this guy from outta state,
he's sweet but legally too old for me,
so now I'm considered jailbate,
and he's too far gone to even see.
Then when it comes down to what I want,
I can't have it because I'm not good enough,
not fun enough, or pretty enough, or smart.
I think I have this pessimist thing down to an art.
The guy I love is not in to me,
he has a girlfriend already, you see,
and what pisses me off to the very end,
is the fact that I'm stuck,
as "just a friend."

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
Fuck me for bitching like that. I'm sorry, but since all the guys I mention in this poem read my journal, I had to find another place to dish. Anyway, comment if you think it good enough to be called a poem.
