dark
written by devilchild0101:14 PM 3/20/05Stumbling in the dark.
Constantly wandering in the obscurity
Of a never ending night
That has banished
All of it's stars
Just to spite the moon
That craves their company.
How could you be so heartless?
You told me you loved me
But I guess
That was just another of the lies
That flowed from your mouth
As my love flowed from me.
Blissfully unaware I continued on
In my world of fairy tale endings
Until the rose tinted glasses
Slipped momentarily,
And I caught a glimpse
Of you,
You, rather than the reflection
That the mirrored glass had pleasantly distorted,
And I in my own mind had perfected.
In that instant I saw you
For what you really are;
Incapable of love.
You broke my heart
and I hate you for it.
And yet,
I wish it did,
(It would be so much easier that way,)
It doesn't make me love you less. |
