» Poem: Colleen
Colleen

I met her more than a year ago
at a Halloween party, you know.
Friends, chips, candy
everything was just dandy.
I didn't know her well
but she thought that it'd be swell
for us to take a walk
get to know each other and
get to talk.
For we were in the same math class
but then our friendship was opaque glass.
So we walked by ol' Lindsay's place
having convo face-to-face.
Getting to be friends
having a friendship that'd never end.

We had so many beach trips, talks and more.
Life with Colleen is sure to never be bored!
We're just like sisters,
the two of us.
Yes, sadly we are going to different high schools
but I'm trying not to fuss.
I guess two best friends shall bond, stay alive,
and not get old and rust.

This poem is for my best friend, Colleen Ryan.
