fall down
written by devilchild0105:28 PM 3/20/05The blanket of clouds seep through my chest;
Rain is falling on the place I used to rest.
On a brightly encrypted and painted tomb,
Goes the life I held once, in my womb.
I breathe in the prisms and spit out the gray.
It has all become dust again, anyways.
The chemicals are seeping into the sun,
Making everything seem so f***ing numb.
And, the ice beads upon my brow-
Everything bright is fading, now.
I scream the flies and breathe the dirt,
And the sky can't know how bad I've hurt...
Letting go of the shoreline won't happen soon,
I don't want to discard a rainy late afternoon.
And icicles of powder break away from sight,
As black needlepoint dreams fade in the night.
Can I sit on the carpet of blackened earth?
Will anyone see what I thought I was worth?
I place my head in my bleeding hands, now,
But, as is life, we all fall down. |
