» Poem: My WISH
My WISH
written by whatShouldUsBe
05:42 PM 3/20/05
I watched as two tiny, shiny stars,
slipped down from the morning sky,
They thought they'd bring that twinkle,
that emerald sparkle to your eyes,

As they slid beneath your eyelids,
You grunted a bit, then turned,
So they whistled to the winds around,
To sing you a happy, little song.

As I lay in bed beside you,
I noticed your smiling lips,
The stars were working overtime,
And I still hadn't got a kiss.

One star called to the moon above,
It was time for moon to fade,
While the other whispered in sun's ear,
"We need some golden rays."

With a chuckle, the job had worked,
The stars then joined hands,
As beams of golden sunlight,
Began its dance across the land.

Then through the bedroom window,
It waltzed upon your cheek,
As it joined in with stars and wind,
To wake you from your sleep.

The tiny, little falling stars,
fulfilled my midnight wish,
When you gently took me in your arms,
And gave me my morning kiss
