Burning Sensation

And your eyes were to burn
Would you push me away from the flame?
And say it’s your turn?
And if that same flame scolded me
Would you be there to protect and hold me?
If the sun gave away all of its rays
Would you still want to be together?
For the rest of our days
And if the grass wasn’t green
And the fire wasn’t red
And if I wasn’t here
Would you wish you were dead?
But the night is black
And the sea is blue
And if I were to say I was in love
But it wasn’t with you
Would you believe me even if it were a lie
If I had to tell you that because I was just to shy
To say that I love you
And I know you love me too
But what if I knew that the dirt is brown
And I jumped into a burning lake
Would you leave me to drown?
And if all those flames and all those rays turned into a bright burning yellow
Would you stay calm, all mellow?
But the sky is still burning and your eyes are still hurting
Let’s be together forever
For all eternity
