About the Author
written by xfadingmemoriesx08:03 AM 3/21/05Back and forth goes her pencil,
a scratching sound with every sway.
She's writing a tragedy,
she's going to finish it one day.
She knows she'll be famous,
she knows her dreams will come true.
She's willing to risk it all, willing to work,
willing to do whatever she's got to do.
She pauses, bites the writing tool,
taps her fingers a bit on the desk.
Writer's block, oh no, poor girl,
just when she was at her best.
She reads over what she's written,
and a tear creeps down her face.
No one will know the story is about her,
no one will know all the things she's once embraced.
To them she is merely the author,
thinking up a fictional work of art.
They'll never know what they read is true,
they'll never know she's so torn apart.
Back and forth goes her pencil,
a scratching sound with every sway.
She's writing a life's work,
she won't be finishing it today. |
