» Poem: She
She
written by DarkeningBeauty
05:59 PM 3/21/05
She laid on the bed,
Thinking about all that had been said,
Images rushing through her head.

She felt his pain,
Asked the same question again,
Why was she feeling this shame?

Only one moment it had been,
One echo, one scream,
One less mouth to feed.

But one more mountain to climb,
One more tear in a stranger’s eye,
One more guilty emotion at the back of a mind.

One shot, one heart,
One life to part,
One love never to start.
