» Poem: Tug of war with my heart(poem)
Tug of war with my heart(poem)
written by Death Tone
12:56 AM 3/22/05
You push me away with one hand
And proceed to rip out my heart with the other
You destroyed my hopes and dreams
Fucked up my life like it was a fucking game
The heart can only take so much pain
And mine has had more than its fair share
Yet you just stand idly by and watch me fade away
Observing me as I become a mere shadow of my former self
I am not able to think not able to do anything
Not wanting to do anything
The heart moves on I am told
But I don’t want my heart to have to move on
It should never have been fucking broken in the first place
Yet there is no point reminiscing on what could and should have been
I will just wallow in my own self misery until the time comes
For me to leave this place
Leave the pain and the anguish behind
