Rain Can Love Me (plz comment)
written by breakmyheart

Pitter-patters on the roof
lull you to sleep the way my voice
never could.
But it's because you're tired
and your eyes long to close.

The rainy season reminds me of you.
I run my fingers over the swollen wood
and breath in the smell
of the drenched forest.
I remember smelling the same things
when I sat by your bed.

I wanted to put my head on your loving bosom
as much as I wanted to be
a million miles away,
but could do neither.
It pained me so to see you lie,
sleeping,
fitful.

The box and fresh dirt reminded me of you
once again.
The smell brought me back to you
better than your arms ever could.
And although I'm sad to say it,
I threw my horrible past
down there with you.
