» Poem: Courage
Courage
written by nicole_lyndon

Trying to break out from inside my cocoon
And fly away from the dark side of the moon,

Trying to arrange all the stuff on my shelf
asking for help from someone other than myself

I want for someone to hold my hand
I want for someone to understand

If I came to you, would you turn me away?
If I reached for you, would you push me away?

Checking myself by the minute by the hour
They say to seek guidance, Look to a "Higher Power."

I have to build confidence before I can try
I'm just so afraid and I don't know why.

God give me the wings and teach me to fly
God give me the courage to turn into a butterfly.
