» Poem: My Labyrinth |
My Labyrinth
written by Trekie03:44 PM 3/22/05Mist,
a foggy trail of turns and dead ends.
Vines lash out in the damp air,
leaving a trail of water on the cheek.
-
Finding a door,
an elegant ease washed over.
Push the door open.
A dead end.
-
Such is my labyrinth.
The story of my life.
Behind every bend,
another story lies.
-
Resting against the cool stone surface,
skin cold and damp.
The sun will rise.
Lift the fog.
Reveal a surprise.
Come inside.
-
Gardens of honeydew and roses.
Birds so happy.
Then falling into the darkness,
a trap gone wrong.
Nails grating against stone,
down to the pit below.
All alone.
-
Such is my labyrinth.
The story of my life.
Behind every bend,
another story lies. |
