Temptation Got the Best of Me

I was really early so I had time to play
I met this guy, he had some weed
He asked me if I wanted to smoke . . .
I said "yes, please."
I got high for the first time in months
I can't believe I did that I just broke all my trust
That I grew in with everyone who helped me
Now I assume they'll be calling me a druggie
But it was only that once, that I fucked up
Please let me bestow back into you my trust
In my past I did a lot worse
Needles and pipes, with a lot of alcohol
But at the time I was feeling coerced
But for me to be who you expect
I have to get a thicker head
Not to do what I feel at the time
But to do what I feel will be right
I now know what I did was a mistake
But I can't take it back, I can't and I won't
Because that was a life lesson
Through the mind of the stoned |
