Rose Petal Rain

Singing her little song
Rose petals fall
Like forgotten rain
She doesn’t know where she went wrong
Why she’s so alone
Even her friends had left her
She stood by them
Piercing the night
While screaming their name
But no one heard
They just gave a little smile
At the ones left
And so she fled
Leaving a world she loved behind
Tears ruining her oh so perfect eyes
It was the hardest decision
But she had to go
She couldn’t be trapped behind locked doors
She needed to be free
To spread her broken wings
And learn to feel |
