» Poem: Burning Within
Burning Within
written by Morning Star
02:51 PM 3/23/05
Inside my mind a spark starts
I can feel the flames of wrath consuming me
A punishment for all misdeeds
Eyes looking but never seeing
The truth revealed that lies within all things
Darkened clouds watch my movements
Heated winds caress my weathered form
Trials and tribulations I have endured
To end up burning from the inside
How does one stop the flames
The fires of self loathing within
When in life, no water can be found?
