A Promise

And pray I make your dreams come true.
No matter what obstacles we may cross.
I'll lift you over at any cost.
You're my baby and you need my help.
For you, I have feelings I have never felt.
I feel your pain when I look in your eyes.
And I know that you won't tell me any lies.
What you give me, I've missed for a long, long time.
And all I need is for you to be mine.
We joined hands with lives of our own.
And know we don't have to leave them alone.
But, please know that Rome wasn't built in a day.
And all of our troubles will soon fade away. |
