break
written by devilchild0109:46 PM 3/23/05Break the confidence off my integrity
I'll look around, dazing into a blurry overlapped corner
Broken and alone I'll fold my sadness
Put it somewhere I'll forget only a few seconds later-
Maybe if everything wasn't so confusing,
Maybe if everyone wasn't so arrogant,
I wouldn't fail to meet your expectations.
I'll fall into this musty corner,
Alone, but next to me sits my failures,
Ever since I sat down,
I haven't had to worry about my past,
Ever since I left this place,
I can only remember my failures,
They don't fight in a never-ending war against my pride, for any longer.
Thanks for breaking off my confidence;
it has got me this far. |
