Casey's Poem

Almost always brings me tears
It reminds me of our good times
We’ve had through all the years
But I don’t want these memories
What I want is to make more
Why do you keep shutting me off?
Feels like there’s a door
Being slammed in my face
The emotions too much
Gotta get away from this place
Everything reminds me of you
And it’s killing me inside
I’ve got a burning desire
The easiest way out is to hide
Why won’t you think of me
As much as I think of you?
And I’m so scared maybe one day
You’ll catch me staring
Bring sadness to my cheeks
How do you destroy me like this?
Sometimes I feel so weak
And it’s just to much to handle
I gotta move on
You’re like a broken record
You’re like that annoying song
That gets caught in your head
It just plays all day long
And I wanna let go
But I can’t find a way
No matter how I fight it
You’re in my mind to stay. |
