» Poem: _____SPLINTERED HEART____
_____SPLINTERED HEART____
written by MintyFreshGirl
01:13 AM 3/24/05
Don't love me, you might get a splinter
Because my Heart is made of wood
See how I've widdled it down so thin?
Until it pumps only toothpicks through my veins.

But this cannot be fixed with tweezers
This is not a front porch hobby
This is the reality of what I've become
These rooms are cold and emty like my atrium

There goes my wooden Heart again
It murmurs under its beating breath
as I throw it into the crackling flames
and choke on its rick black smoke.
