As I wait
written by writingpoetry_inadarkroom06:19 AM 3/24/05I am sitting here, waiting all this time.
I am longing for you to come back home.
I hear the wind blowing through the wind chime.
Looking for your prescance, these hills, I roam.
The rain now falls on my tear-covered dress,
The hope of you coming home is dying.
I wonder how I fell into this mess,
Lying on the mountaintop, just sighing.
Spring has turned to Summer, and now to Fall
The leaves were brown when you left, they're now brown.
I might be the loneliest of them all,
In all of this sorrow, I may drown.
Look! Who is that? Could that be him out there?
He's coming back, with that loving stare! |

I wrote this about a girl who is waiting for her love to come home from a journey. This guy, named Frank, in my class thought that I wrote it about someone that I liked. He asked me who it was about, FIVE times. [ View writingpoetry_inadarkroom's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 460 times
