» Poem: The End of My Days
The End of My Days
written by writingpoetry_inadarkroom
06:21 AM 3/24/05
Many a time, I walk these halls alone.
I see them, they are laughing and happy.
But I am just me, spirit, flesh and bone.
I see these couples, they are so sappy.

They laugh, they point, they stare and they snicker.
My life crashes through the floor to hell.
The flame of hope in my heart doth flicker,
And I want so much to hear heaven's bell.

The end is coming, I know this is true.
The closing battle is nearing, I know.
By all, my heart has been beat black and blue.
Oh no, it's the final act of the show.
I am scared, but should not be afraid,
Alas, this will be the end of my days.
