» Poem: Even The Strongest Cry
Even The Strongest Cry
written by nicole_lyndon
09:36 AM 3/24/05
The bitter taste of the tears as they roll off my cheek,
They run off my face and fall to my feet.
At this time my expression mirrors my heart.
I try to speak but my words don't part.
Trying to push down the feeling in my throat.
I try to stop the tears and try not to choke.
Pounds of sadness I'm trying to hide,
Even when hidden I cry inside.
In these tears I fear my time is near,
And I fear my loved ones will never know I care.
So I can't give up, because I am too strong to die,
but even the strongest sometimes must cry.
